About Us

Hutcheon & Pearce is a family owned and operated business that originally began in 1953, when long serving diesel mechanic George Hutcheon acquired the business of "J.R Ritchie" of Coolamon, in partnership with Cec Pearce.

The business was then renamed "Hutcheon & Pearce". The Coolamon operation prospered up until 1965, when Mr Pearce’s interest was bought out by George, who then became sole director.

To provide a better service to customers south of Wagga Wagga, a new sales office was established at Wagga Wagga in 1978, (Dobney Avenue) from where we operated up until 1997. It was at this stage that the business moved into our current premises in Moorong Street.

The company continued growing over time, using an excellent sales and service reputation to assist with the acquisitions of the following locations:

• 1983 - Temora
• 1990 - Albury
• 1998 - Cowra
• 2000 - Narrandera and Coleambally (A Hutcheon A&G company store)
• 2001 - Parkes
• 2001 - Condobolin
• 2007 - Finley (A Hutcheon A&G company store)

The business has prospered and now employs almost 100 staff members, ensuring that customers receive the best sales, service and parts support possible. Family owned, Hutcheon & Pearce are run at the upper level by a management group, consisting of Ted and Arron Hutcheon along with their respective Branch Managers.

To provide our excellent parts and service the Hutcheon & Pearce group also have Peter Davies (Service) and Vincent Leary (Parts) who are employed as group mangers of their respective departments.
