Position Specifics:

Department: Integrated Solutions
Reports to: Managing Director
Supervises: Integrated Solutions Specialist
H&P Levels: 12

Purpose:

Plans, organises, and leads integrated solutions development and implementation for the entire organisation. Oversees the planning and execution of the John Deere FarmSight™ strategy at the dealership. Works closely with internal and external resources to identify customer and market needs and to develop comprehensive value-added services and solutions to address those needs.

Responsibilities:
  • Provides leadership across the organisation for precision farming products
  • Develops the strategic direction for the dealership to develop, execute, and deliver solutions including John Deere FarmSight™ services
  • Identifies and secures elements required for delivering solutions, and manages the relationship with third party providers and related John Deere businesses
  • Sets goals and identifies precision farming products for mainstreaming AMS at the dealership
  • Manages the adoption of new technology and product offerings
  • Identifies the scope, direction, and business model for offering support services to customers
  • Develops and contributes integrated solutions elements of the dealership strategy, marketing, employee and customer training plans
  • Manages the dealership alignment with NMQR/John Deere FarmSight™ Certification requirements
  • Ensures that stocking/inventory requirements for solutions enablement are met and act as a liaison with inventory managers as needed
  • May provide solutions-based business consulting services to customers (i.e. advising customers on optimizing performance, reducing costs, operation efficiencies, etc.)
  • Lead and facilitates the Information Technology requirements for the H&P organization with 3rd
Experience, Education, Skills and Knowledge:
  • 5+ years experience in an agriculture-related role
  • Dealership sales, service, training, or other related work experience preferred
  • Ability to operate with a solutions approach and identify existing/emerging customer needs
  • Ability to think strategically
  • Knowledge of database software and computer application systems
  • Strong leadership, organisational, management, interpersonal, analytical & communication skills
  • Ability to communicate effectively one-on-one, within a group and in conflict resolution
  • Ability to work flexible hours and travel to store locations and customers
  • Certified Crop Advisor certification or equivalent preferred
  • Bachelor degree in Agronomy, Agriculture Business, or Agriculture Mechanization or equivalent experience

TECSight Integrated Solutions Specialist

Position Specifics:

Department: Integrated Solutions
Reports to: Integrated Solutions Manager
Supervises: None
H&P Levels: 6-7

Purpose:

Provides consulting services and expertise to customers and all dealership departments for the sale and support of precision farming products, remote service diagnostics, the John Deere FarmSight™ strategy and other aligned technology and applications.

Responsibilities:
  • Provides advanced Ag Management Solutions (AMS) support with APEX, JDLink,
  • Administers applications of the John Deere FarmSight™ strategy (Machine Optimisation, Logistics Optimisation, and Ag Decision Support)
  • Performs remote diagnostics, software upgrades and DTAC research on agricultural, turf equipment and AMS products
  • Provides consulting services to customers, employees and 3rd parties
  • Trains and coaches peers in AMS mainstreaming and customers with optimisation of technology
  • Supports the adoption of new technology and product offerings
  • Maintains current knowledge of John Deere and competitive products
  • Completes all training and reports required in conjunction with work assignments
  • Analyses customer agronomic data and prepares reports for third party agronomic recommendations
  • Manages inventory control and logistics to branches, customers and sheds.
  • May assist with SDS Payloads for field technicians
Experience, Education, Skills and Knowledge:
  • 1+ years experience in an agriculture-related role or qualified Ag technician
  • Proficient knowledge of database software and computer application systems
  • Ability to understand basic repairs and maintenance following Technical Manual procedures
  • Proficient oral and written communication skills with solid analytical skills
  • Ability to operate with a solutions approach and identify existing/emerging customer needs
  • Dealership sales, service, training, or other related work preferred
  • Study in Agronomy, Agriculture Engineering or Business, Information Technology, Automotive, Agricultural Mechanics or similar experience
Key Performance Indicators
  • Subscriber call turn around/solution times met
  • Manage JDLink terminal transfers and administration
  • Monitor JDLink codes and support as required
  • Reporting on time and accurate
  • Manage DTAC cases entry, responses, closing of cases
  • Charge out all labour for AMS repairs/software/apex/reports
  • Manage employee’s profile administration including DPA updates and new employee set up on time and accurate
  • Complete subscription charge outs and database management on time and accurate
  • Maintain service adviser HDs, updates and management on time and accurate
  • Conduct asset repairs and maintenance on time and accurate
  • Manage customer data and information as required
  • Manage AMS Inventory on time on budget
  • Distribute software update notifications to subscribers on time and accurately
