This role supports the daily business activities of all Hutcheon and Pearce branches, located throughout NSW.
Reporting to the Financial Controller, this position provides general support and assistance to the Group Administration and Finance departments such as general accounting tasks, accounts payable and accounts receivable.
About the role
- Reception and Office Administration – receives visitors, telephone calls and email/mail correspondence and distributes accordingly, maintains office supplies and maintains a tidy and professional office environment.
- Assists Administration Manager with the facilitation of meetings, training sessions and other functions
- Maintains accounts payable and accounts receivable records
- Reviews purchase orders ensuring information is accurate and submits supporting paperwork to the Finance Department
- Timely and accurate Group invoice entry and account reconciliation
- Assist with monthly creditor payments / release and maintaining Group petty cash transactions
About you
As the ideal candidate for the role you will be an energetic individual with a keen eye for detail and a desire to succeed and grow within the Company.
A passion for following process and delivering on expectations while continually aspiring to go above and beyond is essential.
Accounting and reconciliation knowledge and capability is beneficial, as well as an interest in general ledger accounting, accounts payable and receivable.
Strong people and communication skills are crucial as well as exceptional customer service skills.
As the successful candidate you will also have a minimum of 12 months experience in a similar role as well as the ability to use standard desktop applications such as MS Office and other software. Certificate III in Administration or equivalent is preferred but not essential.
