Year in Review: 2025 at Hutcheon & Pearce
As we close out 2025, we’re reflecting on an extraordinary year across Hutcheon & Pearce. From welcoming new apprentices to launching groundbreaking equipment, from supporting customers through harvest to expanding into new markets, 2025 has reinforced why we do what we do and who we do it for. To our customers who trust us with their livelihoods, our team who show up every day with dedication and expertise, and our communities who make rural Australia what it is: thank you. Here’s a look back at the moments, milestones, and people that made 2025 unforgettable, season by season.
Summer: Starting Strong
We kicked off 2025 with one of our biggest apprentice intakes ever, welcoming 34 talented young people at our annual induction in Wagga Wagga. While welcoming new talent, we also celebrated 29 apprentices completing their programs and becoming fully qualified professionals. A special shoutout goes to Anna, our first female apprentice to complete the program and become a qualified technician, a significant milestone for both Hutcheon & Pearce and the industry.
February took us to Cobram Barooga Golf Club for the Murray River Golf Festival, where we proudly supported the John Deere Women in Turf Program. Six female volunteers gained valuable hands-on experience in turf management, opening doors in an industry ready for their talent.
The groundbreaking John Deere Electric Z370R Mower which launched last year arrived across our branches, generating excitement among customers. This machine represents the future of lawn care and mowing.
Autumn: Seeding Season
In March, we partnered with John Deere for a comprehensive Seeding Bootcamp in Temora. Customers gained in-depth knowledge about John Deere seeding equipment, including the C-Series Air Cart, with product specialists leading hands-on sessions. These days build community as much as they build knowledge.
At Koolpari Enterprises, we held a crop walk following seeding with the John Deere P660 Air Hoe Drill and C550T Trailing Air Cart to showcase real-world results. Seeing the establishment, uniformity, and potential firsthand proved more powerful than any brochure.
Our TFS, Precision Ag, and TECSight teams led T3rra Cutta and Cotton Clinics early in the season, helping customers optimise their operations and understand the technology at their fingertips.
One of the year’s most anticipated moments came in May when the new John Deere 9RX rolled into our Griffith branch for delivery. This four-track powerhouse had heads turning and reinforced why farmers get excited about equipment that genuinely changes what’s possible in the field.
Winter: Construction & Forestry: A New Chapter
In June, we announced that Hutcheon & Pearce would become the appointed John Deere Construction & Forestry dealer in NSW, with the transition officially completed in August. This significant expansion brought 17 specialised staff on board and introduced an entirely new equipment range to our portfolio.
Throughout winter, we continued our commitment to customer education with multiple Operations Center clinics and See & Spray sessions.
We partnered with John Deere for a comprehensive Harvest Experience Day in July at our Griffith branch, showcasing the future of small grains harvesting. From the powerful S7 and X9 combines to harvest automation deep-dives, customers gained valuable insights into cutting-edge technology just in time for the season ahead.
Celebrating Success: Sales & Aftermarket Awards Night
We gathered in Griffith in July to celebrate outstanding achievements:
- Parts Department of the Year: Dubbo
- Salesperson of the Year: Tristan Petty
- Service Department of the Year: Coleambally & Finley
- Branch of the Year: Condobolin
These awards reflect dedication, customer service, and the daily commitment our entire team brings to their work.
We officially launched the new 9RX in August at AgQuip Field Days. Despite wet and cold conditions, the excitement was palpable, and the enthusiastic response confirmed what we already knew: this machine is a game-changer.
Spring: Building Momentum
The 9RX excitement continued in September at Henty Field Days, where we unveiled the machine to another highly enthusiastic crowd.
As spring progressed and harvest approached, we shifted focus to Harvest Automation and General Harvest Clinics. These sessions, led by our expert teams, ensured customers could maximise their combine performance and understand the advanced technology at their fingertips when the season kicked off.
Our annual Trade a Toy Day was held in October across the majority of our branches, a fun-filled event where families traded old toys for new, with all donations going to local charities.
We also delivered our first John Deere forestry machine in October, a tangible milestone in our Construction & Forestry expansion.
Throughout spring, we attended numerous local shows and field days, including Murrumbateman and ANFD, connecting face-to-face with the communities we serve.
In November, we revealed the completed upgrade of our Cowra branch, a bigger, modern space that looks incredible and will help us better serve customers and support the Cowra community for years to come.
Summer: Harvest Support, When It Counts Most
Harvest kicked off in mid-to-late October in northern areas, and as we moved into summer, our team was on the ground across all regions ensuring smooth operations. From the northern areas through to the southern regions finishing up in December, that support never wavered.
Late-night service calls, urgent parts delivery, technicians troubleshooting in the field: this is the Hutcheon & Pearce difference. Harvest doesn’t wait, and neither do we.
Throughout the year, we sponsored numerous initiatives across all our areas, including the Active Farmers EMPOWERED Program, giving five fitness enthusiasts the opportunity to become certified instructors in rural farming communities. Supporting physical and mental health in agriculture strengthens the communities we serve.
As harvest wrapped up across December, our team shifted gears, getting toys and merchandise out for customers shopping for loved ones, catching up in the workshop, and preparing for the year ahead.
