Hutcheon & Pearce Returned for Another Fantastic Year at Henty Machinery Field Days
Hutcheon & Pearce were proud to once again participate in another energetic year at the Henty Machinery Field Days, held from September 23-25. This iconic event, nestled in the heart of the Riverina—the nation’s food bowl—is southern Australia’s largest agricultural showcase, drawing over 60,000 visitors across three action-packed days.
From seasoned farmers and ag professionals to curious families and school groups, Henty buzzed with excitement as attendees explored the latest in agricultural innovation, machinery, technology, and lifestyle products. The energy was electric, and our team was thrilled to be right in the thick of it.
Grand Unveiling: The John Deere 9RX 830
Tuesday morning se the tone with a major highlight – the official launch of the John Deere 9RX 830, the most powerful tractor in the world. We were honoured to have representatives from John Deere Australia join us on-site to unveil this groundbreaking machine. With its unmatched horsepower, advanced engineering and commanding presence, it’s safe to say the crowds were mesmerised by this machine and it was certainly a talking point of the field days.
The buzz around the 9RX continued well beyond the launch, with visitors returning throughout the week to take another look, ask questions, and share their excitement. It was clear this machine had captured imaginations and set a new benchmark for performance in the field.
A Full Suite of John Deere Solutions
Beyond the 9RX, our site featured a diverse lineup of John Deere equipment, showcasing the breadth of solutions we offer to support farmers across every stage of the season. From sprayers and combines to compact tractors, mowers, and construction and forestry equipment, visitors had the chance to get up close with the machinery that powers productivity and innovation on the land.
This year marked an exciting expansion for Hutcheon & Pearce, as we proudly introduced our new role as the local dealer for John Deere Construction & Forestry. The addition of larger construction machinery to our display highlighted our commitment to serving a broader range of industries and applications. It was fantastic to see interest from not only farmers but also contractors and earthmoving professionals keen to explore these new offerings.
Crowd Favourite: Reptile Shows
The 9RX 830 remained the highlight of our site across the three days, in close competition with our live reptile show! We hosted Live Reptile Displays on-site across the three days and the guys run 3 shows daily, captivating huge crowds of toddlers through to adults! With a range of non-venomous lizards, snakes and other reptiles it was truly exciting to see these animals up close and hear about their nature.
At the heart of Henty is connection—and for our team, that was the most rewarding part of the event. We had the pleasure of engaging in genuine conversations with customers, farmers, families, and industry peers. These interactions not only deepened relationships but also offered valuable insights into the challenges and opportunities facing our agricultural communities.
We left Henty inspired and excited about the future of farming and the role Hutcheon & Pearce will continue to play in driving progress. Whether it was discussing new technologies, hearing feedback on equipment, or simply sharing stories from the paddock, every conversation added to the richness of the experience.
